Univille strengthened its academic internationalization agenda by welcoming, this Tuesday (07/16), the renowned professor Luciane Stallivieri, internationally recognized for her contributions in the field. At the invitation of the International Office and of the Pro-Rector of Research and Postgraduate Studies, Luciane shared her vast knowledge and experience with professors from the master's and doctoral programs, in addition to meeting with the dean Alexandre Cidral, the vice-rector Therezinha Novais, the pro-rector of Research and Postgraduate Studies, Prof. Paulo França, and the international advisor, Dr. Juliana Bustamante.
"Internationalization should not just be a department in the institution, but a behavior. Everyone has to breathe it," stated Luciane during her visit. She is one of the main Brazilian authorities on this topic, with an extensive curriculum that includes multiple publications and participation in global conferences.
“Professor Luciane’s visit to our campus reflects how internationalization is not only a major commitment, but a strategic priority for our institution,” highlighted the vice-rector.
During her lecture to professors of stricto sensu programs, Luciane addressed, among other topics, strategies for attracting foreign talent, expanding interinstitutional partnerships, internationalizing the teaching career and strengthening Univille's global presence.
In addition to the lecture, Luciane Stallivieri led an interactive workshop, in which participants discussed cases, exchanged ideas and explored personalized strategies to be implemented in their careers and at Univille.
"The internationalization process facilitates interaction and collaboration between researchers from different countries, through partnerships and strategic alliances, increasing both the quality of research and the volume and impact of scientific production, in addition to the socialization and dissemination of the generated knowledge," encouraged Luciane.
Univille has an International Office, responsible for representing the university globally and articulating partnerships with foreign institutions to promote the internationalization of the curriculum, involving students, professors and researchers in teaching, research and extension activities. Currently, the institution maintains academic mobility programs, internationalization at home, international internships, short-term programs, and international research projects.
